Hi everyone, sorry I am taking so long to get the ball rolling on this, this weekend has just been too hectic XD
sayochama suggested we have a master list of books that the PFYADBC has used, as well as some other lists, so that we can refer back to them when we vote on our book selection each month. I will be keeping this post updated with more books as they come, and you can also recommend books you've found to be added to the list.
( Our Past Selections )
Links:
Historical Fiction
• Historical Children's and YA with GLBT characters
Sci-Fi/Fantasy:
• An annotated list of YA fantasy and sf novels with LGBTQ protagonists or major characters, which were published in the USA.
• An annotated list of YA fantasy and sf novels with non-white protagonists, which were published in the USA, PART 1.
• An annotated list of YA fantasy and sf novels with non-white protagonists, which were published in the USA, PART 2.
• A list of multicultural YA sf and fantasy, with full reviews of each book.
Etc.
• A blog about diversity in YA
• Permanent Floating Young Adult Diversity Book Clubs introduction post
Please refer back to this list for upcoming themes and also be sure to comment with any recommended books or book lists you'd like to see added!
* note: this list previously contained a list of every book we previously voted on, but that got way too long. To view books we previously voted on but were not selected, please check out the voting tag.
